This Christmas ornament shows a McDonnell Douglas DC-6.

The wording on the back reads;

The DC-6 was promoted as the "Ultimate in travel relaxation". The Douglas featured rectangular windows, lounges fore and aft of the cabin, and a buffet area in the middle of the plane. It offered one major technological advance, becoming the first airliner to employ the "Hot Wing" or heated leading edge. United Airlines placed its DC-6 fleet into service in April, 1947.

The artwork is by the world renowned aviation artist Warren Green and is a sixteenth limited edition.

The ornament is 3.25" in diameter and comes packaged in a decorative display box which is perfect for gift giving to business associates, aviation enthusiasts, and friends.
