This Christmas ornament shows the HK-1 better known as the Spruce Goose as it was flown by Howard Hughes on November 2, 1947.

The wording on the back reads as follows;

At seventy miles per hour, the Spruce Goose had lifted gracefully from the waters of Long Beach Harbor and flew... the largest airplane ever to leave the earth's surface...

The artwork is by the world renowned aviation artist Warren Green and is an eighth, limited edition.
