This Christmas ornament shows a F4U Corsair which had its first flight on May 29, 1940 with Lyman A Bullard Jr at the controls.

The wording on the back reads as follows;

The Vought Corsair is forever engraved in aviation history as the last, and probably the finest propeller-driven combat fighter airplane. It was powered by the massive Pratt and Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp radial engine, generating over 2000 horsepower, and fitted with a huge propeller more than thirteen feet in length.

The artwork is by the world renowned aviation artist Warren Green and is an eleventh limited edition.

The ornament is 3.25" in diameter and comes packaged in a decorative display box which is perfect for gift giving to business associates, aviation enthusiasts, and friends.
