This Christmas ornament shows the STS-30 space shuttle mission using the Space Shuttle Atlantis.
It was the fourth mission for Atlantis and was launched from the Kennedy Space Center on May 4, 1989.
It carried the Magellan probe which was bound for Venus and was the first planetary probe launched in eleven years.
Also featured is a quote by astronaut Michael Collins;
"Man has always gone where he has been able to go. It's that simple. He will continue pushing back his frontier, no matter how far it may carry him from his homeland."
