This Christmas ornament shows Space Shuttle Atlantis docking at the Mir Space Station. The STS-71 was the third mission of the US/Russian Shuttle-Mir Program which lifted off from the Kennedy Space Center on June 27, 1995.
It also features a quote from astronaut James Wetherbee;
"We are bringing our spaceships closer together; we are bringing our nations closer together. The next time we approach we will shake your hand, and together we will lead our worlds into the next millennium. It's a beautiful sight, it's a great world."
