Hubble Telescope Christmas Ornament

Hubble Telescope Christmas Ornament
This Christmas ornament shows the STS-61 Hubble Space Telescope during its first servicing mission which occurred on December 2, 1993. It also was the fifth flight for the Space Shuttle Endeavour.

It also features two quotes on the back. The first one from novelist James Michener and the second one from Senator Barbara Mikulski.

"We never gain as much from exploration as the wild enthusiasts promise; we invariably gain more than the frightened men predict. And regardless of the predictions, the exploration must go on because it is in man's nature to explore..."

"Now we are going to look at the origins of the universe, what a wonderful victory this is for the Hubble team of astronauts, astronomers, scientists and engineers...."

The artwork is by the world renowned aviation artist Warren Green and is a thirteenth limited edition.

The ornament is 3.25" in diameter and comes packaged in a decorative display box which is perfect for gift giving to business associates, aviation enthusiasts, and friends.
