Review of StressEraser
The first pleasing thing about the StressEraser is the quality. Not only is it packaged in a nice box, but it was a delight to open and find the unit itself was of extremely high quality. Quieting your mind before sleep Many people’s minds become restless at night while lying in bed. During the day its good to limit your sessions to 30 points or so to avoid becoming drowsy. However when lying in bed at night, a session of 50 - 100 points can be ideal. Relieving intense stress The StressEraser can be used for mental and emotional relief during intensely stressful circumstances. During these times you likely have specific stressful thoughts that keep playing over-and-over again in your mind. The key to relieving intense stress is to use the StressEraser until you notice your mind automatically wandering onto other thoughts, and then continue to use it for an additional 30 points after that. After your mind has been freed from the stressful thoughts, the additional points will deeply calm your mind and relax your body. Gaining freedom from chronic stress Chronic stress builds up over time. And time is needed to become completely free of it. To free yourself from the grip of chronic stress, we recommend that you complete 100 – 125 StressEraser points each and every day. You can accumulate the points over as many sessions as you like. You will find that the load of chronic stress becomes lighter each and every day, until one day you are completely free from it. Relieving worry To get a break from worry, simply use the StressEraser until you notice your mind begins to automatically wander off of the worrisome thoughts. Then continue to complete as many additional points as you want after that. Feeling good The StressEraser does not have to be used for “emergency purposes only.” Calming the mind and relaxing the body has another benefit—it feels good. You could give yourself permission to use the StressEraser on a regular basis just because it feels good. Better yet, why not challenge yourself to see how good you can make yourself feel by getting 100 or more points a day for two months? Preparing for a stressful event You can use the StressEraser moments before you have an important business meeting or presentation, an important discussion with a family member or friend, take an exam, go on a job interview, etc. You can prevent a lot of stress as well as increase your ability to perform well by preparing yourself ahead of time. Leaving work behind Many people take their work stress home with them. You can use the StressEraser before leaving work or immediately when you arrive home. This can give you the mental break you need to give your full attention to your social, recreational or family activities. Starting your day off right A session of 30 or more points is a great way to start the day off right. Especially on days when you feel like you got up on the wrong side of the bed. Preventing stress from building up When days are filled with many stresses, you can sometimes feel your stress level rise with each one. Using the StressEraser for a minute or two after each stress can counterbalance the effect of each stress, which can be an effective strategy for preventing chronic stress from getting a hold of you. Taking a timeout Arguments or disagreements occur in most close relationships. If an argument or disagreement becomes very emotional, take a temporary timeout and use the StressEraser immediately at the start of the timeout. A minimum of 50 points or more is recommended, depending on the intensity of the disagreement. Preparing to learn Studies show that a relaxed, focused mind can absorb information much faster. You may want to use the StressEraser for 30 points immediately prior to studying new material or attending a class. Meditating If you meditate, or would like to start, you can meditate with your StressEraser. Simply choose a meaningful phrase with a number of syllables that is equal to your exhale count number. Silently repeat your chosen phrase during the exhale instead of counting to your exhale number. Breaking Habits Stress often triggers a relapse when someone is trying to quit habitual behaviors. Whenever you feel the urge to engage in a behavior you are trying to stop, you can use the StressEraser to relieve the contribution that stress is making to that urge. You may find that the urge becomes more manageable or disappears altogether. Clearing your mind Sometimes it’s difficult to make decisions because you simply can’t clear your head. You can try a 30-point session to see if relaxation can help clear your mental fog. Traveling relaxed Some people get nervous when traveling. Flying on a plane, sitting on a bus, or in a subway car are ideal times to de-stress and unwind. Managing anger You’ve likely heard that it’s good to count to ten before allowing yourself to get angry about something. Instead of counting, you can see how you react after reaching 10 or more StressEraser points. |
