The Aircraft

The Dryden Flight Research Center is now called the "Armstrong Research Center" located inside Edwards Air Force Base and operated by NASA.

We like that these planes are colored white and not quite "look like the others", lol.

This is one of 3 F/A-18s acquired from the USN by NASA between 1984 and 1991 of which this one, NA852, is a two-seater. The single-seat F/A-18 acted as a chase plane along with the camera equipped N852NA but NA850 was only used for an extra pair of eyes.

The Hobby Master "1:72 Air Power Series" range presents detailed, ready-made diecast models of military aircraft.

Length: 9.25"

  • Authentic detachable ordnance loads complete with placards.
